Binley Cottages – Replacement of farm buildings to large market house, and 3 affordable cottages

Redevelopment of redundant agricultural building site to provide four dwellings comprising a terrace of three affordable housing units and one single, market dwelling together with associated garaging and landscaping.

This site provided affordable housing for the local community, it contributed to the sustainability of the hamlet, while enhancing the appearance of the overall position located within the AONB.

CPL led negotiations with the local planning authority to secure a Section 106 Agreement which allowed the client to maintain ownership of the affordable units and manage the affordable housing provision despite the fact he was not a registered provider/housing association. The three affordable houses were rented to members of the local community at 75% of market value.  This arrangement was the first of its kind under this LPA.
